Statement From Planned Parenthood

Statement issued to RealClearInvestigations on June 14:

Planned Parenthood health centers know well what it’s like to have protestors outside their doors. Acts of violence, vandalism, and intimidation from anti-abortion activists and politicians directed towards health center staff and patients interfere with the ability to both provide and receive critical sexual and reproductive health services. There are real, dangerous consequences when anti-abortion politicians and activists seek to spread misinformation and sow hostility in the communities we serve. Nobody should have to face shaming, judgment, harassment, or intimidation in order to get or provide health care. At Planned Parenthood, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. We condemn violence and hatred in all forms.
