A quote from page 96 of the Justice Department Inspector General's report on FBI surveillance abuses (screenshot below). It recounts Christopher Steele's recollection of telling his FBI "handling agent" in London on July 5, 2016 that "the candidate" -- Hillary Clinton -- was aware of Steele's work. More than a year later, an unnamed spokesperson for the Clinton law firm Perkins Coie denied to the New York Times that the Clinton campaign or the Democratic National Committee was aware of Fusion GPS's opposition research.
