Sweden: 'Enlightened' Land's Taboo Sexual Assault Crisis

Reported sex crimes have increased by 61 percent and the number of gunshots victims has risen by 50% during the last decade or so in Sweden. During this same period, the nation has absorbed large number of male immigrants from North Africa and the Middle East, who have been linked to violence. However, the causal chain between sex crimes and immigration has not been firmly established since the Swedish government will not update its statistics and “open discussion of this subject is thwarted by taboos.”
