Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast McKayla Maroney (above) claims she was sexually assaulted multiple times by the former doctor for the U.S. national team. According to her statement, the abuse started when she was 13 years old and continued for at least four years when she stopped competing in 2013. She joins several athletes accusing Dr. Larry Nasser of abuse.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Dr. Nassar pleaded guilty in July to federal child pornography counts and is set to be sentenced in December. Dr. Nassar still faces multiple lawsuits, criminal sex-abuse charges in Michigan, and an open inquiry by the Federal Bureau of Investigation into his activities with the U.S. national team, according to court filings and a spokeswoman for the FBI.

A lawyer for Dr. Nassar declined to comment on Ms. Maroney's allegations.
